Kaye Waterhouse (Vital Beat Yoga)

Kaye Waterhouse (Vital Beat Yoga)

The owner of Vital Beat Yoga (Midland & Edgewater), Kaye only discovered yoga at age 26 while living in Melbourne, using it as a tool to stay grounded and support her mental health. But it wasn’t until after the birth of her daughter, that she chose to pursue her passion and become a teacher, and within a few months of graduating from training, she had opened WA’s first hip hop yoga studio in Midland. She has since opened a second location, and furthered her training in Yin, Pre & Postnatal, and Lotus Flow. Kaye loves a bassline as much as she loves her flows, and crafts playlists that match the dynamic of her classes. Being a huge fan of the urban genre, the meshing of music with yoga is all she has ever known. Kaye’s classes are invigorating, a little bit sweaty, and lots of fun (laughter encouraged!), they’re also weaved with storytelling and dharma, and often finished with her trusty harmonium, Saraswati.
As the mother of a now 4 year old she is almost always found at either studio with a coffee in her hand and a 40 kilo dog in tow. She also has a big green thumb & cannot resist a good dance floor!
