Sarah Collin

I totally believe that our happiness and success in life comes from within and no amount of outside gratification or searching outside of ourselves will make us happy or assist us to grow if we haven’t dealt with what is going on inside us.  Balance the inside and watch your life unfold into its true magnificence.

I am committed to helping people ‘realise their potential’ and have worked in the childrens’ services industry, run three successful businesses and spent eight years assisting people with disabilities to develop inclusive lives.  I have lectured in Community Services delivering accredited training to the disability sector and have worked, part time, as project coordinator for South West Women’s Health and Information Centre in Bunbury, Western Australia,  running the Active Women’s Program and more recently empowering women through Motivational Wellbeing Coaching and coordinating the Rural in Reach Program that uses video conferencing technology to take services in regional and remote towns throughout the South West.

I am working on developing some new programs for 2020 and one will be a yoga program for women dealing with menopause, using yoga and meditation as tools to transition through this stage of life.

I am also working on some small group coaching sessions and packages to support people to explore life with more meaning, purpose and balance.

My qualifications include:

  • Diploma Dru Yoga Teacher Training
  • Diploma Dru Meditation Teacher Training
  • Post Graduate Dru Mastery Course
  • Diploma of Community Services (Disability Work)
  • Cert IV Life Coaching
  • Cert IV Training & Assessment (TAA40104)
  • Reiki Teacher

I spent 18 months living in Melbourne in 2010/11 and during this time undertook post graduate study in Dru Yoga and explored some other coaching methods including ontological coaching, coaching to a persons way of being as well as volunteering for Dru Australia by reviewing student assignments and assisting on the teacher training course that ran in Melbourne during that time.

Since being back in WA I have continued my volunteer work and  coordinated for Dru Australia the three year Dru Yoga Teacher Training Course that started in Perth in 2013 and saw 25 amazing people graduate as Dru Yoga teachers in October 2015.  I have also been assisting with the teaching on this course and am delighted that the second Dru Yoga Teacher Training course is currently running in Shoalwater.

I also volunteer for Yoga Australia in the capacity of being their South West committee member and organise professional development events for their members.

I love what I do and therefore spend many hours working in my business and pursuing further growth and learning.  I am currently enrolled in the Dru Yoga Therapy Course running in Canberra twice a year for the next three and a half years.  Plus I have commenced study with Quantum University in the field of Natural Medicine.  I am moving more into small group therapeutic work and will be establishing a small yoga therapy clinic within the next twelve months.  This is to help people find alternative ways to manage chronic illness and disease and regain health and wellbeing.

I am fully registered with the Dru Professional Network (DPN) and Yoga Australia as a level 2 teacher.

I love getting out in nature and especially enjoy kayaking along the local rivers throughout the South West.  I love the café culture and enjoy catching up with family and friends in local cafes, restaurants and wineries.
